PM Modi interacts with beneficiaries of Saubhagya Scheme in Rayagada dist

ONI Bureau:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday interacted with citizens of villagers which were electrified in the last four years through video conference.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with beneficiaries of Rural Electrification and Saubhagya Schemes which villages have been electrified since 2014.

The video conference interaction through NaMo app included beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana – ‘Saubhagya’ scheme which was launched by the PM on September 25, 2017.

While interacting with Modi, Lalita Nayak & Narayan Nayak from Lakubadi village of Rayagada dist said ‘Children from our village had never seen what electricity is. Now we have access to so many facilities’.

PM Modi said that his government believes in working for the benefit of the people without looking to reap any political benefit. “It has been 70 years since we attained independence but 18,000 villages did not have electricity supply. This was quite unfortunate,” Modi stated.
