PM Modi lays foundation for revival of Talcher Fertilizer Plant

ONI Bureau:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday laid foundation stone for revival of Talcher Fertilizer Plant in Odisha.

PM Modi unveiled a plaque to mark the commencement of work for the revival of Talcher Fertilizer Plant to be commissioned by 2022.

Talcher fertilizer plant, being revived with an investment of about Rs 13,000 crore,  this is the first plant in India which will have a coal gasification based fertilizer unit. The plant will also produce natural gas, Ammonia, Urea and Methanol respectively.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, Parliamentarian Tathagata Satpathy are remained present at the event.

CM Naveen Patnaik extended his gratitude to PM Modi for his presence and revival of Talcher fertilizer plant.

While addressing at the event, Modi said if there is a will and determination, development is possible. It is our firm commitment is to take the nation to newer heights of progress with renewed energy and greater momentum, Modi stated. Modi also thanked Odisha CM for taken initiatives for the Plant.

Talcher Fertiliser Plant will help creating huge employment opportunity in the region and will prove to be a boon for farmers in region, said Modi. “I will come again here after 36 months to inaugurate the Talcher Fertilizer Plant, said Modi.
