PM Modi to attend Farmers’ Convention in Bargarh on Feb 21

ModiPrime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be in Odisha on February 6-7 to attend the launching ceremony of Paradip Oil Refinery, will visit the state again on February 21 to attend a mega farmers’ convention in Bargarh.

More than a lakh farmers would congregate in Bargarh to get a chance to listen to the PM and convey their problems. BJP has planned such farmers’ convention across the country to counter Congress Party’s agenda. And, it will begin from Bhopal on February 18, followed by Odisha, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.

It can be recalled that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had also launched his Padyatra in support of the farmers from Debahal village in Bargarh, while Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik too held a mega rally in Sohela in the same district.

While Odisha BJP is upbeat about Modi’s Bargarh visit, the BJD sought to downplay the visit, saying the PM would definitely acknowledge the good initiatives taken by the CM in the interests of farmers.
