Police constable held for sale of contraband in the city

A police constable has been arrested for selling brown sugar in the city.

The constable is identified as J. Bharimal. He was nabbed red-handed while selling the drug on Wednesday evening under Naypalli police station limits.

Interestingly, Bharimal was arrested in a murder case in 2008. But after being acquitted by court, he resumed his service. Soon after, he was involved in illegal mining in Khurda.

He is currently posted in Police Reserve.
