Police Picks Up Groom On Wedding Mandap In Cuttack

The Commissionerate police arrested a man from his wedding mandap for solemnizing second marriage without allegedly divorcing his first wife.

The incident took place at Sartol Chandi Temple where Prakash Samal was getting married for the second time. The wedding rituals were almost complete when his first wife Jayanti came with the police to the venue.

Jayanti said, though they was marital discord between the couple and they were living separately, they were not divorced.

She alleged that Prakash was tying the knot secretly, without ending the first marriage.
