Pramila’s Remarks: Civil Society Alliance demonstrates in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: The members of Civil Society Alliance have demonstrated on roads on Tuesday opposing the statement made by BJD MLA and former minister Pramila Mallick over farmers’ death.

She made controversial statement ‘Amar Ladoo’ (immortality pill), denying farmers’ death in her constituency. BJD Chief Naveen Patnaik expressing his displeasure over her statement on such sensitive issue, he asked the MLA to maintain restrains.

The members of the society have demanded the Chief Minister to sack the MLA for making such remarks over the farmers’ death issue. They warned that the members would protest at the residence of the Chief Minister if he failed to take action against the MLA.

The members have brunt effigy of the MLA during their protest on the road and distributed ‘Ladoo’ to the passersby.
