Pranay Sahu named as Congress Candidate for Bijepur Bypoll

ONI Bureau: Putting all speculations into rest, the AICC led by Congress President Rahul Gandhi, has approved the name of Pranay Sahu as the candidate for Bijepur bypoll.

While names of Pranay Sahu and Ripunath Seth were sent to the AICC, the former got the final nod.

BJP candidate Ashok Panigrahi has already filed the nominations for Bijepur bypoll, while BJD candidate Rita Sahu (wife of late Subal Sahu) will file her nomination tomorrow.

The Bijepur bypoll was necessitated following the demise of three-time Congress MLA Subal Sahu in August 2017.
