Pratap Sarangi rubbishes rumours on State Presidentship

ONI Bureau: Senior BJP leader Pratap Sarangi broke his silence and rejected all rumours surrounding state Presidentship of Odisha unit of the party where his name has cropped up of late.

Some people on Social Media had started batting for Pratap Sarangi as the Odisha BJP President, saying he would be able to revive the party’s fortunes in the state.

However, Pratap Sarangi expressed full confidence in Basant Panda’s leadership and urged everyone to desist from spreading any rumour and running propaganda campaign.

Here’s the clarification issued by him on Facebook:

“It has come to my notice that many fake news connecting me have been floated in social media regarding the state president ship of Odisha BJP. I can say once for all that this is all false and not based on fact. I don’t know why people are doing this and what is their intention but I am sure this is not in the interest of the party”.

“Sri Basanta panda, our beloved Basanta Bhai, is the elected president of the party. Nobody has a right to create any confusion. I am compelled to break my silence since it exceeded all limits and my power of tolerance broke in to pieces. I would humbly like to request you all to stop spreading rumours and not to be deceived by such rumours.”
