President Kovind lays foundation stone of Skill Development Institute of Oil PSUs

ONI Bureau:  President Ram Nath Kovind laid the foundation stone of the Skill Development Institute of Oil PSUs and the (Institute of Chemical Technology –Indian Oil Corporation) ICT-IOC Bhubaneswar campus on Sunday.

While laid foundation stone of the Skill Development Institute the President said this demonstrate the commitment of the Govt of India to development of Odisha. SDI Bhubaneswar will be the country’s first Skill Development Institute in the hydrocarbons sector. Happy to know that this institute aims to train about 50,000 youth over the next 10 years.

Governor SC Jamir and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan accompanied the President and the first lady at the foundation stone ceremony of the Skill Development Institute of Oil PSUs.

The President Kovind also addressed at the 6th Convocation of IIT Bhubaneswar today. Speaking

at the IIT Bhubaneswar President said IITians should aspire to achieve the best not only for themselves but also for society and the nation and world at large.

He complimented Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for extending their full support and leadership to making these two projects possible for extending cooperation for setting up these institutes in Bhubaneswar.
