Prime accused arrested in Banapur rape & suicide case

ONI Bureau:  Khurda district police on Wednesday arrested the main accused along with his brother in connection with recent suicide by a 16-year-old rape victim at Suanpadia near Banpur in Khurda district on January 24.

They have been identified as Nimai Palei and Kedar Palei.

Reportedly, the minor girl committed suicide by consuming poison allegedly after getting disappointed over police inaction in the case.
