Prime Minister’s website now available in Odia language

Though the Odisha Government’s official website (http://odisha.gov.in) is in english language, the website of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) (www.pmindia.gov.in) is now available in Odia (http://www.pmindia.gov.in/ory/). The PMO newly added Odia and Kannada language in the site.

When the PMO launched its website in six regional languages (Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Malayali, Gujarati and Telugu) last week, Odia activists raised voice. They alleged that the Prime Minister has ignored Odia language. Now PMO site is available in 10 languages as Bengali language also now added.

The move has cheered Odia language lovers. The odia activists from Bhasa Andolon said ‘thank you’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard.
