Probe on Odisha NIT Sexual Harassment Case begins

Students of National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Odisha’s Rourkela on Wednesday, alleged sexual harassment of a lady security officer by the chief security officer of NIT.

The NIT students yesterday met NIT Director Prof Sunil Kumar Sarangi and demanded the dismissal of the chief security Balaram Champatiray.

A five-member fact finding team will probe into the matter and submit a report within a week.

On the other hand the main accused Champatiray said, there have no issue of sexual exploitation and it was just a joke.
