Puri Ratha Yatra: Pulling of Chariots to begin at 3.30pm

The Daitapati sevayats are busy in pertaining the rituals of the three deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra is all set to be completed in time.

Chief Administrator of SJTA Suresh Mohapatra along with other officials will remain present near the chariots to ensure that the rituals of the deities are performed smoothly.

Alternative arrangements have been made to engage more sevayats to perform the rituals in time, said Suresh Mohapatra.

The pulling of chariots would begin at 3.30 PM. To prevent from overcrowding in the chariots, SJTA has specifically fixed the number of sevayats for each chariot. The devotees will not be allowed to climb atop on the chariots.
