The development work of Puri Swargadwar crematorium will be completed by March 2021. Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and (5 T ) VK Pandian visited Puri on Saturday to review the progress of development of Swargadwar.
With funding from CMRF, the redevelopment plan of Swargadwar has already started. To make the Badadanada (Grand Road) clean, around 700 stray cattle have been shifted to cattled sheds. Another 400 cattle will be shifted in the next one month.
Steps have also been taken for rehabilitation of beggars in Badadanda. Around 500 beggers have been rescued from Badadanda and rehabilitated in various institutions. Out of the rescued 150 have been traced and reunited with their families .
During the review Collector Puri , BMC and Cuttack commissioners were also present.
