Puri Train Arson Case: Prime Accused to undergo Lie Detection Test

train catches fireBhubaneswar, Dec 7: Hearing the Puri train arson case, a local Puri court directed police to conduct lie detection test on prime accused – Ramachandran Subash on Monday. As per the directive of the court, the accused will undergo lie detection test here today.

The state government had urged the Union Home Ministry for the National Investigating Agency (NIA) probe into the incident that occurred on November 12 in which fire engulfed from three stationed train at Puri railway station. In the incident, some coaches of three trains were gutted, however, no causality was reported.

Investigating into the case, NIA SP Prashant Kumar interrogated the prime accuse on November 28. The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court in Puri on December 2 had granted six-day remand of the prime accused for further investigation.
