Pyari Mohapatra, Pravat Biswal appear before CBI

Erstwhile BJD strategist and Rajya Sabha MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra, whose Delhi and Bhubaneswar houses were raided by the CBI day before yesterday, appeared before the CBI today in connection with the SeaShore chit fund scam. Pyari was grilled by the CBI sleuths for over four hours.

According to Pyari, the CBI asked him relevant questions, which he answered without any hesitation. He also admitted that the CBI subjected him to a face-to-face questioning along with SeaShore MD Prashant Das.

Later, Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Pravat Biswal too appeared at the CBI office for questioning. After Pravat Biswal, his wife too reached the CBI to present some documents. Many more BJD MLAs and Ministers may find themselves in a tight spot as the CBI probe into chit fund scam progresses further.
