Quality of Governance in Odisha improves: PAC Survey

ONI Bureau:  Odisha improved its ranking significantly this year on quality of governance, as per the survey by Public Affairs Centre (PAC), Bengaluru.

Among 18 large States, Odisha ranks 14th. But, the State is placed at 24th spot among all 30 Indian States. According to last year report, the State had secured 16th spot among 18 States & 27th overall.

So, the Government can heave a sigh of relief that it has indeed improved on the index although it’s still not enough.

The survey considers rapes, murders, dowry and custodial deaths, police firing, deployment of police personnel vs population, ratio between male and female cops etc.
