Rayagada BJP leaders protest against PDS

Rayagada BJPRayagada, Jan 25: Led by its newly elected District President of BJP Sri Siba Sankar Ulaka, scores of frontline leaders have started the the campaign against the PDS politics of ruling BJD.

The activists have pasted posters, which have reached the district from BJP state headquarters Bhubaneswar, at several prominent places like in front of Collectorate, Municipality office, block office, etc. The poster mentioned the share of central govt in Re.1/- rice and how the ruling party leaders have usurped the ration cards by violating the National Food Security Act.

“This campaign will soon spread to all the booths of assembly constituencies belonging to Rayagada district and expose the vested interest of BJD leaders who are spreading a myth before public about the food security schemes”’ said Sri Ulaka.  This campaign included leaders like Sri Tapan Tapadar, Ex. Dist. President Sri. Kaliram Majhi, Sri Krushna Panda, Rayagada Mandal Presidenti Sri Haladhar Mishra, Ex. Block President Sri K Aswini, Sri Bhaskar Nayak, Sri Sumanta Maharana, Sri Tilak Choudhury, Sri Laxmi Pattnaik, Sri Debasish Panda, Sri N N Padhi, Sri Ajay Chawlet, Sri Umesh Khosla and many others.

BJP had also a road blockade resisting the rape of a minor girl at Jatani and demanded stern punishment against the culprit. The strikers have condemned the heinous action and squarely put the blame of the ruling party. Interestingly enough, Sri Giridhar Gomango and his son Sri Sisir Gomango, who belong to Rayagada district and joined the party recently with lot of fanfare, are not seen in many of the political activities taken up by the BJP district unit. And nobody in the party has ever felt the vacuum of father-son duo.
