Rita Sahu takes oath as Bijepur MLA

ONI Bureau:  Newly-elected MLA, Rita Sahu on Tuesday took oath as the MLA of Bijepur Constituency. Odisha Assembly Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat administered the oath of office and secrecy.

Earlier, BJD candidate Rita Sahu registered a thumping victory in the Bijepur assembly bypoll in Bargarh district by defeating BJP’s Ashok Panigrahi by a margin of 41,933 votes.

Her tenure is only for one year as the general elections will be held on 2019.
