Rourkela Engineering Girl Student gang-raped in Jharkhand

ONI Bureau:  In a shameful act, a girl student of a private engineering college in Rourkela was allegedly gang-raped in Jharkhand.

As per the report, the victim was waiting to board a train to Jharusuguda at Rourkela Railway Station on December 31 when she met a friend of her brother who convinced her to board a different Jharkhand bound train, citing that due to track repair works the train would be diverted via Jharkhand.

The youth then asked her to get down at Lotapahad railway station in Jharkhand to catch a bus to Jharsuguda.

Later he took her to a house where he raped her along with five of his friends and dumped her in a nearby forest on January 2.

The girl is now undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital in Rourkela.
