Rourkela Smart City Proposal gets Final Shape
The smart city proposal of Rourkela gets the final shape. The State level high powered committee meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sri Aditya Prasad Padhi in secretariat conference hall.
The district administration along with Rourkela Municipal Corporation has augmented their trial to develop the city’s physical and social infrastructure to come out successful in national level competition to be held shortly.
Replying to a media query after the meeting, Chief Secretary said, “we discussed about the smart city proposal of Rourkela city. The project would be submitted to Govt for onward transmission to Govt of India. Rourkela this time would compete with 66 other cities of the country in smart city competition”. The project would be sent by end of this month. The project proposal envisaged investment of around Rs.2500 cr out of which Rs.500 cr is expected from Govt of India and rest Rs.2000 cr would be arranged from State Govt and other sources by way of convergence.
