Rs.3,331.39 Cr Food Subsidy given to Odisha: Ram Vilas Paswan

Food SubsidyUnion Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said Rs.1.34 lakh crore in food subsidy was given to the Food Corporation of India. The Union Government has given Rs.3,331.39 crore food subsidy to Odisha during the 2015-16 fiscal year under National Food Security Act.

While Madhya Pradesh got Rs.5,737.29 crore, Odisha got Rs.3,331.39 crore, Chhattisgarh Rs.3,328.93 crore, Punjab Rs.300 crore, Bihar Rs.2,540.92 crore, West Bengal got Rs.2,465.87 crore, Rajasthan Rs.155.11 crore, Telangana Rs.1,390.08 crore, Andhra Pradesh Rs.1,364.25 crore, Tamil Nadu Rs.936.89 crore, , Uttarakhand Rs.408.67, Kerala Rs.834.42 crore, Gujarat Rs.55.57 crore.

Chandigarh received Rs.14.31 crore, Puducherry Rs.54.59 crore and Dadra and Nagar Haveli Rs.71 lakh accordingly.
