Rutaparna Panda wins 1st International Women’s Doubles Title in Hellas Open 2018

ONI Bureau:  Odia shuttler Rutaparna Panda along with her partner Arathi Sara Sunil has won 1st International Women’s Doubles title at the Hellas Open Badminton tournament in Greece on Sunday.

The Indian players won their first international title together after beating France’s Vimala Heriau and Margot Lambert 21-19, 21-12 in 50 minutes.

The two were paired together after Rutaparna’s regular partner, Mithula UK, sustained a long-term injury earlier this year.

The girls from Cuttack, Rutaparna Panda have won the women’s doubles title at the All-India senior ranking badminton tournament in Bengaluru earlier this year.
