Saina Salonika wins 3 Golds at ASEAN Chess Championship 2015

World U-10 Girls Chess Champion, Women Candidate Master Saina Salonika of Odisha got 3 Gold Medals at 16th Asean Chess Championship held at Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 8th to 16th June 2015.She got individual Gold Medal in the U-12 girls Blitz Chess Championship and 2 Team Gold Medals in Standard and Rapid Chess Championship in the U-12 Girls Category.

459 players from 16 Countries of Asia participated in the Championship where Vietnam got the best Country award and India was placed 4th.

Saina, daughter of Ganeswar jena and Babita Jena is a Std.VII student of KIIT International School. Earlier Saina had also got six International Medals in World Youth Chess Championship,Commonwealth Chess Championship and Asian Chess Championship

Saina expressed her gratitude to Shri A.N Sahaya,CMD MCL and MCL authorities for sponsoring her International participation. She also  expressed her gratitude to Shri Achyuta Samanta, founder KIIT & KISS for providing financial assistance just before her Departure to Singapore.
