Senior Citizen seeks Statues of Odia Legends on Bhubanewar Road

ONI Bureau: Eminent social activist, former trade union leader and retired banker Tusarkanta Satapathy has appealed CM Naveen Patnaik to ensure installation of statues of legends of Odisha on the proposed road between Acharya Vihar and AG Square, which is being revamped.

Tusarkanta drew CM’s attention to the Hussain Sagar Lake Road in Hyderabad, where statues of Legends of Andhra Pradesh, have been installed with detailed information about their life and work.

“As I came to know about the modernization of the road between AG Square and Acharya Vihar in Bhubaneswar at the cost of Rs 300 Crore, I would like to appeal the CM to insall the statues of our Legends on the lines of Hyderabad,” he said.

“It would be great if those statues are lightened and have all information including their life and work,” he added.
