Senior OAS Officer Premananda Khuntia arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Oct 12: Police arrested senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) Officer Premananda Khuntia, 53, on Monday for allegedly sending explicit message on WhatsApp to a woman OAS officer.

According to reports,  a lady OAS officer has filed sexual harassment case against senior officer Premananda Khuntia, who now works as project director of Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan. He was alleged of sending obscene video to a junior lady officer through WhatsApp messenger.

She filed FIR with Nayapali Police station on Saturday. Police registered a case against Khuntia under IT Act and IPC sections and arrested him.  The victim is now posted in the State Women and Child Development Department.
