Seven elephants electrocuted to death in Dhenkanal

ONI Bureau:  At least seven wild elephants were electrocuted after coming in contact with live electric wire at Kamalanga under in Dhenkanal district late on Friday night.

As per reports, a herd of 13 elephants had strayed into the region a few days ago.

When the jumbos were passing through a farmland, they came in contact with the electric wire laid by the railway department for track construction work.
