Sex racket busted in Odisha, 2 people arrested in Bhadrak

The Basudevpur police busted a sex racket running at a rented house near Betada Bazaar, Bhadrak on Wednesday night and arrested two persons in this connection besides rescuing a woman. Three others convicts, including a woman, escaped from the spot right away. An investigation into the matter was underway. Locals had been testifying about the flesh trade at the house since long. Responding on a tipoff, a police team raided the house.

It may be mentioned here that acting on a tip-off, the Commissionerate Police had earlier busted a sex racket running in a spa at Shastri Nagar in Bhubaneswar and had arrested a middleman in this connection. As many as five girls involved in the sex trade absconded before the raid by the police.
