Shankaracharya jumps into ‘Padmavati’ controversy

Insight Bureau:  Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati’ landed into trouble & controversies again and again and now it has a ‘religious head’ as Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati accused Bhansali’s Padmavati for distorting historical facts.

Addressing a religious gathering, the Hindu seer said that, the movie maker wrongly portrayed the character of the Rajput queen. The erring person must be penalized under the jurisdiction of the Human Rights, Shankaracharya stated.
