Shed Sycophancy, Amit Shah warns IAS/IPS Officers in Odisha

ONI Bureau: Two after after Narendra Modi sounded the poll bugle in Odisha by launching sharp attack on CM Naveen Patnaik and BJD Government, BJP President Amit Shah went steps further and called for a change in Odisha in 2019.

“Today’s Mahila Morcha meeting in Puri will sound the death bell for Naveen Government. I don’t have an iota of doubt that BJD Government would go in May 2019 and BJP would form the government in Odisha. If our Mothers and Sisters work hard, we will overthrow this corrupt and indifferent regime,” he roared.

Amit Shah issued a veiled threat to specific IAS and IPS officers in Odisha. Without taking names, he said, “the IAS and IPS officers are ruling the state while elected representatives have gone into oblivion. They are stalling development and fixing BJD’s rivals. 14 BJP workers have been killed in Odisha. The officers should remember that no government is permanent. Change is imminent. Unless they shed sycophancy and stop indulging in corrupt activities, they would pay a heavy price when there is a change of guard”.

“The atrocities on women have been on rise. Crime rate is high. Odisha is on the top on many indexes related to crime against women whether rape, gangrape, eve-teasing, sexual harassment etc. However, Modi Government is working hard to ensure safety and security of women and empower them. We would implement that model in Odisha too,” he added.

“Whether ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign or hiking pay of Anganwadi Workers/Helpers and ASHA Workers, PM Modi is serious about women’s welfare. 5.5 crore women have been benefitted from PM Ujjwala Yojana; 16 crore women have been enrolled into Jan Dhan Yojana; 13 crore women got benefits of MUDRA Yojana and 7.5 crore toilets have been build to benefit women.

Amit Shah lashed out at Naveen Patnaik, saying he did not implement ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme in Odisha, as he feared that PM Modi would become popular. He does not bother about Odia people and their benefits. We won’t allow him to exploit the people in Odisha further. We would form Govt here in 2019 and then implement ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme. We will also launch a crackdown on illicit liqour trade in the state and save our women from atrocities and harassment,” he added.

“The farmers are neglected in Odisha. As the Government officers collude with Millers, the real benefits are not reaching out to poor farmers. We will end this system once we come to power. There is no Biju ideology left in Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Janata is no longer with them. People of Odisha anguish in poverty due to Naveen Patnaik and his government which has been ruling the state for over 18 years. Time has come to overthrow this govt and install a new regime under BJP,” he added.
