Sikshya Sahayaks won’t be sacked: Debi Prasad Mishra

Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad MishraOdisha School and Mass Education (SME) Minister Debi Prasad Mishra reports to media persons that 8000 Sikshya Sahayaks who have not submitted their Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) certificates would not lose their job. They would continue their jobs at their respective schools as usual.

Further he said that, We have only written to the collectors to collect information, review the issues and submit the details of report. Government have no intension to terminate them. The reports published in media and TV channels are not true.

Notably, Orissa High Court ordered in August 2012, to complete the engagement process of siksha sahayaks on the condition that the future renewal of engagement shall be subject to submission of OTET pass certificate on or before March 2013.
