Similipal National Park to remain closed for Tourists from Today

Similipal National Park and Tiger Reserve will remain be closed for tourists or visitors from today. It will reopen in November, after the rainy season.

Since the roadways around the Similipal Hill are worsening in the rainy season, the authority has taken the decision to close the park for visitors.

Similipal National Park, located in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, has a protected area of 845.70 square kilometres and has some beautiful waterfalls like Joranda and Barehipani. It is a natural home for 99 Royal Bengal tigers and 432 wild elephants.
