SJTA bans Online sale of Mahaprasad, Wedding Invitation

ONI Bureau:  Following rumours of online sale of Mahaprasad and wedding invitation, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Tuesday denied giving contract to any institution or individual for such unauthorised activities.

The SJTA has requested the Puri administration to investigate into the matter and take action against the institutions or persons carrying out such unlawful activities.

Centuries-old traditions, rituals and religious practices of the 12th century Puri Jagannath temple are unique and nobody should play with the centuries-old tradition, the notification said.

Earlier it was on the news that a website is being developed to provide service to send an invitation card to Lord Jagannath online.
