Special Train to leave Bhubaneswar to evacuate people stranded in Kerala

ONI Bureau:  A special train will leave for Ernakulam from Bhubaneswar via Visakhapatnam for evacuating people of Odisha stranded in flood-hit Kerala, the Odisha Commerce and Transport department informed today.

This train will evacuate the stranded flood victims from Kerala to North Andhra Pradesh & Odisha.

Bhubaneswar-Ernakulam Special Train (08463) will leave Bhubaneswar at 4 pm on August 23 and reach Ernakulam at 12.30 pm on August 24. In the return direction, Ernakulam-Bhubaneswar Special Train (08464) will leave Ernakulam at 5.30 pm on August 24 and will arrive in Bhubaneswar at 5.45 am on August 26, the East Coast Railways (ECoR) said.

The train will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Berhamapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, and Penukonda between Bhubaneswar and Ernakulam from both the directions, the ECoR sources added.
