State Agriculture Cabinet Meeting held today

Aditya Prasad PadhiThe State Agriculture Cabinet Meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat on Thursday.

The Agriculture Cabinet today approved setting up of a new OMFED plant on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

Speaking at the meeting, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said the State Government will give more emphasis to irrigation, repairing work of canal and mega lift irrigation projects across the State.

The agenda of the meeting was to improve agriculture and living standard of farmers in the State, Padhi said.

Odisha Government has plan to form drought management cell for Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) and will formulate special policy for animal husbandry.

After the formation of the Agriculture Cabinet in the State, this was the third meeting held today.
