State Govt to provide Old Age Pension in Cash on November 15

The State Government has decided to provide old age pension in cash in all 6000 Gram Panchayats on November 15. The pension will be given in Rs 50 and Rs 100 notes.

It was informed by the Odisha Finance Secretary Tuhin Kant Pande on Monday.

The decision was taken by Odisha Government after the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi banned the old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to curb black money, fake currency & terror funding.

Earlier, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed Prime Minister’s announcement to demonetize Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes.
