Steel Pillars, Box Frames to be installed to repair Jagmohan

Steel pillars and box frames will be used for the repairing work of Jagamohan prayer hall of Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri.

The decision was taken by the Union Culture Secretary in New Delhi for the permanent repair of Jagamohan, said Prasanna Kumar Hota, administrator of Sri Jagannath Temple.

He also stated that, the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has directed not to dig any foundation for the repair work of Jagmohan.  Extra steel pillars will be installed to give support to the existing pillars of the Jagmohan and all the beams will be covered with portal box frames.
