Sudarsan Pattnaik wins Gold in Sand Art contest in Russia

Sudarsan PattnaikThe renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha has won gold medal in an International Sand Art Championship held at Russia. The Championship had started on April 21 at Kolomenskoye, Moscow.

He  has participated the ninth Moscow Sand Sculpture Championship “The magical world of sand” 2016 and made the sand art of 15 feet high “Mahatma Gandhi sculpture for non-violence and peace” in the sand art contest.

20 top sculptors from different countries competed in the championship. After winning the award, India’s ambassador in Russia Pankaj Saran congratulated Pattnaik on his great achievement.

He has won many national and international awards for his creative designs and has recorded his name in the World records. He was Awarded Padma Shri in 2014.
