The melody of PEETHA and ‘Mu Hero Mu Odisha’ camps

Binakar Das, an ice supplier by profession, is on a mission to educate people concerning various Government schemes by composing & singing songs which are full of anecdotes and witticisms. His melody has been gathering a lot of attention across people in Paradip Municipality.

The 58-year-old Binakar Das of Brundaban Colony is the headliner at several PEETHA camps and ‘Mu Hero Mu Odisha’ programmes organised by the district administrations.

Odisha news insight: Binakar Das stated, “I derive pleasure in bringing smiles on the faces of locals through my songs”. Interestingly, many slum-dwellers claimed that they started attending PEETHA programmes after coming across Binakar’s songs.
