This 10-year Old Is Odisha’s youngest Scuba Diver!

At only 10 years old, Dubai-based Odia girl Tisya Panigrahi has become the youngest scuba diver in Odisha. Tisya successfully completed her Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Junior Open Water Scuba Diver’s course.

PADI is considered as the world’s largest scuba diving training and certification organization.

A student of Raffles World Academy School in Dubai, Odisha-based Tisya dived 33 feet into the Arabian Sea in the Gulf of Oman on the east coast of UAE at Fujairah to obtain her professional license as a scuba diver. She also cleared a basic endurance test during her license test.

The four-day training included sessions in swimming pools and open sea. The endurance test involved swim and a floating session.

is the daughter of Priyadarshi Panigrahi of Sambalpur and Soumitri Nanda of Cuttack. She is the grand-daughter of politician late Sriballav Panigrahi.
