Three Odisha districts win SKOCH Award

1st district:
Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district has won the national-level SKOCH Crucible Award for e-governance, informed Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra. District collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra congratulated the district administration team for the achievement and thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his support and guidance.
SKOCH award, instituted in 2003, recognises people, projects and institutions that go the extra mile to make India a better nation.

2nd district:
Kandhamal district has also won the national-level SKOCH Award (Silver) under the aspirational district category for the year 2020, Collector Dr Brundha D said. The district achieved the feat for its innovative projects– Delivery Van, Bike Ambulance and Janani Auto to improve the maternal health, the collector stated.

3rd district:
Nabarangpur district bagged the SKOCH Award (Platinum) under the aspirational district category for ‘Farm-based scientific & technological intervention for socio-economic development’.
Notably, the e-office system, scientific farming and heightened transportation system falls under the 5-T initiative of the state government.
