Tiger Mahavir translocated from MP found dead in Satkosia forest area

ONI Bureau:  A male Royal Bengal Tiger ‘Mahabir’ that was brought to Satkosia Tiger Reserve in Odisha’s Angul district from Madhya Pradesh, was reportedly found dead in the core area of the forest on Wednesday.

Mahabir was brought from Kanha Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh in June this year as a part of inter-state re-introduction of tigers.

Though the cause of death yet to be ascertained, several injury marks were found on dead tiger, the local people reported.
