Tigress ‘Sundari’ kept at special enclosure in Satkosia Tiger Reserve

ONI Bureau:  A two-year-old Royal Bengal tigress ‘Sundri’ from Madhya Pradesh who reached at the Satkosia Tiger Reserve in Odisha’s in Angul district on Thursday, kept at special enclosure in Satakosia.

The Additional PCCF Sudarshan Panda informed that the tigress has been released in its special enclosure that would be fitted with a GPS and a satellite tracker to monitor movements inside the enclosure. Sundri has taken wild boar as meal while, Royal Bengal Tiger from Kanha has preyed 3 wild boars today.

As per repot, tigress Sundari will pair with Kanha tiger in Satkosia tiger reserve.

In a first of its kind in India, the tigers were translocated as a part of inter-state re-introduction of tigers, following the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) guidelines.
