Tripura CM assures all support to Odias stranded in Agartala

ONI Bureau:  The Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb today assured all support to Odia students and teachers stranded in Agartala.

Reportedly, the Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today spoke to Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb regarding protection and safety of Odia students, said the CM assured him full protection of all Odias.

“Students from Odisha are Tripura’s children too. No anti-social activities shall be allowed on the land of Ma Tripursundari. I assure full protection for students from across India in #Tripura”, Tripura CM tweeted.

The principal secretary of Higher Education, Bishnupada Sethi said to media persons that Prof Radha Madhav Dash, vice-chancellor of the Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri, and Parameswaran B, the Director, Higher Education will visit Agartala to resolve the matter.

It is to be noted that about 90 BEd students and 10 teachers of Odisha pursuing studies at the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan at Agartala in Tripura after clearing the entrance examination.
