Two died, 27 injured in Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak DMU Train Mishap

The Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak DMU train hit a goods train at Kathajodi station near Cuttack on Thursday evening. At least two persons died and 27 others sustained injuries in this accident.

The injured passengers have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.

In this connection, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Thursday suspended four staff for their negligence on duty.

Odisha Governor Dr SC Jamir, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed their deep concerns over the accident.
