Two from Odisha get Padma Shri Awards

ONI Bureau:  Two eminent persons from Odisha were conferred with Padma Shri awards, the highest civilian award of the country by the President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday.

While Gobardhan Panika received Padma Shri in Art-Weaving category, Pravakara Maharana received the award in Art-sculpture.

Music composer Ilaiyaraaja, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni are among the 85 personalities who are being awarded 2018 Padma Awards by the Home Ministry.
