Priyaranjan and Dadhichi are two students of ‘Children’s Home’ run by Open Learning System (OLS) in association with Special Olympics. Being different from the normal couldn’t deter earning them national-level awards and help make their own identity.
Dadhichi, a student of Class VIII has won a gold medal in swimming and has also secured third position in an art competition in the programme Surabhi. Dahichi was orphaned from a very tender age.
Priyaranjan, also a student of Class VIII secured the third position in a song competition in the programme Surabhi. Earlier, he had secured second position in a drawing competition organised by the Indian Council for Child Welfare in 2014. He is equally proficient in swimming and already won a silver medal for the same.
Both of them have been guided and trained by OLS secretary Dr Tapas Rath and executive officer Prakash Rath and Arpita Mohapatra.
