Umakanta Rout’s Odia Story Book “Staff” released in Bhubaneswar

The odia story book of renowned writer, poet and scholar Umakanta Rout’s “Staff” has been released at Red Cross Bhawan on Sunday. On that occasion, Sahitya Akademi for Odia Writer Bibhuti Patnaik, editor of Phuljhari Sri Das Benhur, Asit Mohanty, Subhas Chandra Pattanayak were present there.

Mr. Asit Mohanty, has praised Umakanta Rout for his beautiful piece of work. He said that this book will bring social reform in odia language.

Odia Film Dirctor, Ajay Swain applauded Mr. Rout and said Umakanta Rout is a multi talented personality whose works are heart touching.

The first piece of the book has been presented to social activist, Subhas Chandra Pattanayak for his fight for Odia language and its survival.
