Unavailability of Tickets; Hockey fans vandalise counter in Kalinga Stadium

ONI Bureau:  Tension erupted at the Kalinga Stadium on Thursday as Hockey fans vandalised counter near the Stadium after failing to get Hockey World Cup 2018 tickets this morning.

In order to control the situation, cops have resorted to mild lathicharge in front of the stadium.

Reportedly, fans were in the queue before the counter no-9 near the stadium since yesterday night for the inaugural ceremony tickets to start today (November 15). However, the authorities today informed that the tickets were not yet available.

Worth mentioning, inauguration ceremony of the event will be held on November 27 that will be attended by Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Music Director AR Rahman.

However Sports & Youth Affairs Secretary informed  that tickets for inaugural ceremony of Men’s Hockey World Cup will not be sold at counters however, Online ticket sale will begin in a day or two.
