Unrest at Vani Vihar: DCP promises Action against Culprits

Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi has assured strong action against the guilty in connection with the assault on a group of students from the ABVP camp by another group of students allegedly from the ruling BJD.

The clash took place at around 10 PM last night. Several bikes were damaged and students were brutally beaten up. The ABVP students gheraoed the Sahid Nagar police station, prompting the DCP hold discussion with them.

The DCP promised to identify the non-students at Vani Vihar hostel premises and take action against the culprits who were involved in the attack. Heavy police deployment has been made in the campus to prevent deterioration of law and order.
